Flying Daggers from Far Far Away

And because i realised my blog was languishing, i decided to post something.

I guess i'm getting a bit too busy to bother to post on my blog, and it's degenerated into a simple picture sharing space in the end. There aren't many things i feel the urge to post about, and when i do get that burning desire to type something out, something else comes along (musou!) and i get sidetracked.

But at any rate, in latest news:
in counterpoint to mezz's blog and the 1st aug post, I actually thought the House of Flying Daggers was a pretty fun movie. It was pretty in the typical zhang yimou colour-coordinated way, only this time it wasn't as ridiculous as hero, where everyone seemed to own the same garment in all the primary colours. Disregarding the wonderful illogical bits (hey, let's fight for hours and hours and hours until the snow covers all the trees as an excuse to change the colour scheme from orange to white! What's that, you say? I have something on my back? Oh it must be just that stupid flying dagger, yea, i'm keeping it there coz i'll need it later.) which were actually damn funny and entertaining in their own way, and all the fanservice (yes alright quick hurry up and finish making out so i can see more acrobatic fight scenes).... it was an ENTERTAINING movie. I still miss the snow fight scene from kill bill 1, and the fight scene where they dance on water from hero, but hey, it was interesting in its own right. Yea. if you haven't watched it yet, suspend belief, step in, lie back, and laugh.

Right and that aside, i finally got my room assignment from Chicago, and it came in a nice envelope with the most amusing postmark i've seen in a while, and i'll test out the new blogger picture update thing by posting this picture:

...
